What my clients say about me…

Katerina Bosinakou, PhD, biology teacher

I had the pleasure to collaborate with Ms Elena Skafida, Msc, while I was working as a biology instructor in Nea Genia Ziridis school. Ms Skafida, as a social worker, came to our school in the following academic years: 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 for a series of interventions and workshops in the following subjects: Drug awareness, Bullying, Stress management, Internet addiction. She worked with students from 7 till 17 years old and she had a remarkable impact on our school community. She helped students to understand and accept better themselves and others and she assisted teachers to better understand students’ needs.”

Maria R., mother

We met with Elena about 3 years ago she is one of the most intelligent, kind, compassionate and responsible people I have ever met. Our daughter loves her a lot and we fell that she was part of our family. Elena is very organized, passionate and has a very high knowledge of her work. She developed a very inspiring relationship with Zoe and helped her develop her writing and reading skills. I believe that her positive and clear communication skills lead to a strong connection with her students. Overall, we are very grateful that our daughter had such a person to inspire her during the tough times of the pandemic.

Eleni Skouteli, child neurologist

Elena did an exceptional job in all the projects she handled. Among others, she proposed, designed and implemented with great success a nationwide project promoting equality and inclusion of disabled people, aimed at schoolchildren. The programme was a huge success mainly due to her hard work, ideas and absolute commitment. I highly reccomend Elena for her great character, knowledge and amazing attitude. She will add great things to any team.

For the past five years, Elena has been an incredible support for my child with special needs. She has played an important role in improving my child’s social skills, understanding learning strategies, and tackling complex challenges. Elena is a remarkable observer, consistently designing individualized interventions tailored to my child’s unique needs. Whether it’s building self-confidence, addressing social skills, handling bullying, or managing screen and food addictions, her approach is thoughtful and effective. Her empathy, insightful tips, and practical guidelines make a profound difference. My child, who has ADHD looks forward to spending time with her—learning, discussing, and growing under her guidance. I highly recommend Elena to anyone seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled professional for their child.

Reflections on the “Mommy’s Brain” Workshop by Concetta Cucchiarelli and Eleni Eirini Skafida 🌟at Equals I recently attended a workshop called “Mommy’s Brain,” led by the insightful Concetta Cucchiarelli and Eleni Eirini Skafida. The atmosphere was calming and supportive, filled with discussions on the real challenges mothers face. One thing that truly surprised me was learning about the impact motherhood has on memory. After the birth of my son, I was so caught up in the whirlwind of emotions and responsibilities that I didn’t take the time to research what was happening to my brain. For the first two years, it felt like I was on a roller coaster. Thanks to the speakers, I now feel understood. They provided simple, scientific explanations: hormones and lifestyle patterns change dramatically during pregnancy and the postpartum period. These shifts contribute to feelings of forgetfulness and brain fog, often more so than actual changes in brain structure. As mothers, we constantly try to juggle multiple tasks at once—and most of the time, we manage. But that sense of being drained by multitasking can lead to burnout. A few key takeaways that I brought home with me: 1. I don’t have dementia!😂 Thank you, Eleni Eirini Skafida, for your gentle reassurance. 2. Multitasking is the enemy. It’s crucial to recognize the toll it takes on our well-being. This workshop was both useful and soulful, offering valuable insights into navigating motherhood with self-care. It’s also great knowledge for fathers, helping them understand the dramatic changes in habits and routines that come with parenthood. “Mommy’s Brain” offers answers and understanding in a time when many couples struggle to adapt. Highly recommended for anyone embarking on the journey of parenthood!
